General Info

What is the PowerUp Conference?

At PowerUp, you’ll take part in a comprehensive learning journey designed to give you every tool you need to make an impact in your role. Through it all, you’ll gain knowledge, learn new skills, and put it all into practice by solving challenging scenarios with fellow learners. Customize your schedule to best fit your needs. Each day will feature opportunities to listen, learn, and DO during our interactive group sessions.

Why should I attend?

At PowerUp you will:

  • Participate in games, scenarios, live demos, and other fun/interactive ways to maximize your learning retention
  • Build a custom schedule based on your role and specific interests
  • Unwind at the Partner Reception located at Topgolf Scottsdale
  • Work 1-on-1 with Alarm.com team members to deepen your knowledge of Alarm.com products and services

Who is the target audience and who should attend?

The PowerUp Conference is available exclusively for current employees of an authorized Alarm.com dealer. If your company is looking to drive more business and enhance the customer experience, these are the roles that would benefit the most from attending:

  • Technician: Designed for installers, service technicians, or anyone who wants a greater understanding of MobileTech, Alarm.com hardware, and best practices for installation and troubleshooting.
  • Support: Designed for customer care managers, reps, or anyone responsible for providing remote support to system users.
  • Sales: Designed for those who prospect, consult, and nurture new customers.
  • Operations/Management: Designed for operations, management, Partner Portal administrators, trainers, or anyone who works to build teams, increase efficiencies, and make data-driven decisions.

What is the Pre-Conference?

How much does it cost to attend the Pre-conference?

It costs an additional $150 to attend a Pre-conference.

Where is the event taking place?

The 2024 PowerUp Conference will take place at the Hilton Scottsdale Resort and Villas. Visit the Travel Page to learn more about the conference location.

Are you offering discounted hotel rooms?

Yes! Single and double rooms are being offered to PowerUp attendees at a special discounted rate of $234/night. Please complete registration to access the hotel sleeping room link or visit the Travel Page.

How do I reserve my hotel room?

You can reserve your hotel room at the end of your event registration or visit the Travel Page.

What do I need to wear?

Dress comfortably for day-to-day learning! Business casual attire is recommended for evening events.

What do I need to bring?

To maximize your learning experience, please come prepared with a tablet or smart phone.

When is the last day to register?

Friday, October 18th.

When is the last day I can reserve a room?

Friday, October 12th.

How do I cancel my registration? Do you offer refunds?

You can cancel your registration either by clicking on the cancellation link in your confirmation email or by clicking the Register Now button on our website and selecting “Already Registered” to access your agenda. You can also email Academy@alarm.com. The last day to cancel your registration for a full refund is September 20th. If you cancel from September 21st – October 18th, you’ll receive a 50% refund. If you cancel after October 18th, you will no longer be eligible for a refund.

Refunds only apply to the conference registration fee, not hotel fees. Please contact the Hilton Scottsdale Resort and Villas for more information on hotel sleeping room cancellations.

I can no longer attend but would like to substitute my registration. Can I send someone else from my company?

Yes. You can substitute your registration by emailing Academy@alarm.com. The last day to make changes to your registration is October 18th. Substitutions made after this date will incur a substitution fee of $50. The last day to make a substitution is November 8th.

Can I register onsite?

Unfortunately, we do not allow onsite registration as each session has a capacity and we need to know in advance how many will be in attendance. The deadline to register is October 18th.

How does session registration work?

During registration, you will have the option to customize your registration. All sessions are included in the registration cost. We will provide a list of recommended sessions based on role, but you are free to register for any session you’d like to attend.

I changed my mind and want to register for different sessions. How do I edit my agenda?

You can modify your registration either by clicking on the modify link in your confirmation email or by clicking the Register Now button on our website and selecting “Already Registered” to access your agenda.

Pricing

How much does it cost to attend?

Early Bird (June 3 – June 30): $425
General Registration (July 1 – October 18): $625
*Pricing above does not include pre-conference registration.
*Registration is subject to close if capacity is reached prior to the registration deadline.

What is included in the registration fee?

Registration for the general conference includes admission to the conference and all sessions, meals (breakfast, lunch, and snacks), admission to our Tuesday Welcome Happy Hour and Wednesday Partner Reception, as well as exclusive PowerUp merchandise.

Do I have to pay for each session?

Sessions are included in the registration fee.

What are the payment options?

Full payment is due at the time of registration. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and AmericanExpress. We do not accept Discover or other forms of payment (invoicing, check, cash, etc.)

Are there discounts available?

Volume discounts are available:

  • 10% off per registration fee for groups of 3-5 from a given company
  • 20% off per registration fee for groups of 6-10 from a given company
  • 30% off per registration fee for groups of 11+ from a given company

Please note that all registrants from a given company must register at the same time for the group discount to apply. We will not retroactively honor group discounts.

Program

What is the Energize Room?

The Energize Room offers you a space to sit down, refresh, power up your phones or tablets, and interact with your Alarm.com team. The room will be a central place where you can find Alarm.com staff to help you with anything that you need – a great place to have a quick meeting with your sales representative or ask our CORE experts a technical question. This is also the place to redeem your hard-earned points for fun Alarm.com and partner swag!

What is Flex Time?

Flex time is your time! Take a break in our Energize Room, meet with an Alarm.com expert, or cash in your PowerUp points for prizes.

Are you offering CEUs for any of these sessions?

Yes, we will offer CEUs for courses on a state-by-state basis. Click here to learn more about CEUs. If you have additional questions, email Academy@alarm.com!

Will I receive a certificate for attending this conference?

Each PowerUp attendee will receive a certificate of completion for the full conference at the completion of the conference week.

Will these sessions be recorded?

They will not. Video or audio recording of any Alarm.com Academy event or other training course is strictly prohibited.
